The HSSC offers low income Spay & Neuter services through three participating Veterinary offices, for residents of STANISLAUS COUNTY only. Proof of residency is required.
There are limited slots on a quarterly basis which includes animals in our care.
If you're interested in having your pet spayed or neutered you must:
Be able to provide proof of low income status.
WIC Card
Life Line Statement
Government Assistance Statements
W-2 with a total gross income at or below poverty line
How to get on the list
PLEASE NOTE - THE PROCESS HAS BEEN CHANGED
The HSSC will post a notice on the main page of its website identifying that the we are now accepting new persons for open slots for our Spay and Neuter Clinic.
Once the clinic slots are posted open, then we will take only those who can verify low income status. Each slot will fill on a first come first served basis. To fill the slot you must verify income status as stated above. Once each slot is filled we will close the clinic registration and accept no new applicants. Each clinic will have limited slots based on the current budget and funds raised.

Once on the list
You will receive an email from the coordinator informing you that you are on the waiting list. Once a time slot has been arranged you
must prepay
for your spay or neuter co-payment before an official scheduled time will be made.
Payment must be made in CASH only. The HSSC does
NOT
accept personal checks for co-pays.
Once payment has been made you will be given an appointment time and date. You are responsible for transportation to and from the vet.
What is included
The only part the HSSC will pay for is the majority of the spay or neuter. Any additional medications, vaccinations, or other medical treatment is at the owner's expense.

Males : $25
Females under 65 lbs: $35
Females 65 lbs and over: $45
All Cats : $20
