The HSSC has partnered with the JPA and Stanislaus County Animal Services to provide assistance in a disaster period. This includes:
Supporting Animal Services
Augmenting Animal Services Staff
Providing Transport
Providing Rescue Personnel
Providing Veterinary Assistance (If available)
Providing Temporary Shelter
Stray Recovery Services
If you're interested in becoming an EMERGENCY volunteer during a disaster please notify us with the following information:

How you can help
Can you foster during an emergency
Can you transport during an emergency
Can you commit to training for emergency situations
All persons on the Emergency Response Team (ERT) must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Have their own transportation with current insurance
Be able to commit to training events (zero misses are allowed)
Be able to follow directions of HSSC executive staff or Animal Services Staff
Be physically able to work long and stressful hours in the event of a disaster
Be cleared by their GP to perform rescue duties
